A Solo Dining Experience in Montreal | Friday Indulgence 🍽️✨

📍 Place Carmin 740 William St, Montreal, Quebec H3C 1P1 Another Friday calls for a refined solo dinner! After browsing several menus, Place Carmin's scallop starter and duck confit immediately caught my eye. I secured a same-day reservation - plenty of availability on Friday evenings. Arriving at 5pm, I had the entire restaurant to myself until other guests started trickling in around 6pm. My window seat overlooking the courtyard provided the perfect peaceful ambiance for a solitary feast. 🍋 Starter: Scallop Ceviche Refreshing citrus-marinated scallops with cucumber and radish Perfect summer appetizer Paired wonderfully with warm baguette and butter 🦆 Main: Canard à l'orange Pleasant surprise: duck leg confit + breast combo Crispy-skinned leg with tender meat (slightly fatty edges) Even more impressive juicy duck breast Orange sauce was underwhelming and somewhat heavy 🍊 Dessert: Gelée de mandarine Adorably presented mandarin jelly Passionfruit & grapefruit combo was too tart for my taste Not my favorite 💫 Dining Experience Ambiance: Elegant and tranquil with courtyard views Service: Attentive yet unobtrusive Price point: ~$60-80 CAD (with drink) Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This charming French bistro delivered a satisfying culinary experience, particularly their expert preparation of seafood and duck. While the dessert wasn't to my liking, I'm already planning my next visit to explore their seasonal offerings! #MontrealEats #SoloDining #FrenchCuisine #FoodieAdventure #MeTime
