A Spring Day Trip to London's Hampton Court Palace⋆˚✿˖°
Plus New Malden Korean Town Guide The weather in London has been absolutely amazing lately! 🌤️ We picked a sunny weekend day and headed to Hampton Court Palace in West London for a day trip. The dark green yew trees are meticulously trimmed into perfect round shapes, and lying on the freshly blooming spring lawn feels almost surreal… 🌸 Following this route, you can have a leisurely day, and on the way back to the city center, you'll pass by the nearby Korean town for a delicious dinner before heading home. 🍖 🪄 Transportation : The easiest way is to take the train from Waterloo Station. It's a 30-minute direct ride to Hampton Court Station, and then it’s just a 5-minute walk to the ticket entrance. 🚂 🪄 Route : - Base Court (Ticket entrance + stunning red-brick Gothic architecture) - Hampton Court Palace (Explore the daily life of Henry VIII's court) - Gardens (Right after exiting the palace, you'll see the famous mushroom trees, rose gardens, and fountains ⛤️) - Maze (One of Europe's oldest mazes, with a cozy café nearby) - Magic Gardens (Check out the newly blooming flowers, as seen in photos 6-7) 🌸 🪄 Korean Town Dinner : Head to New Malden Korean Town by taxi. There are plenty of Korean restaurants and supermarkets. Highly recommend Treestone BBQ at p9. We had a big group and ordered two full tables—it was amazing! You can even buy the same meat from the butcher downstairs to take home. 🍖 🪄 Tickets : You need to purchase tickets in advance from the Hampton Court Palace official website. Regular tickets are £30 / Student tickets are £24. 🎫 🪄 Timing : We arrived around 11 a.m. and had plenty of time to explore until the 4 p.m. closing time. Note that the last entry is at 3 p.m. ⚠️ Many people arrive late and miss out on entry. If you're tired of the usual parks in central London, I highly recommend this spring outing! 🌸 #SpringOuting #ParkHopping #LondonWeekend #LondonParks #LondonCherryBlossoms #NewMaldenKoreanTown #KoreanBBQ
