A steakhouse after getting tired of T-bone + a street-side bar

This was my last meal in Italy, hidden in a corner of the neighborhood across from the Old Bridge. There are many bars around, and you can see lots of Italians standing on the street enjoying their drinks. This restaurant is relatively young by Italian standards—it's been around for over five years. Although it mainly features Tuscan cuisine, the menu still has quite a few innovative dishes. The interior decoration is very distinctive, and it's located in a cellar.😍😍😍 **Napoleone Fillet** ❤️❤️❤️ The steak is named after the restaurant itself, so you can expect it to be good. The fillet was actually better than the one I had previously. It retained its tender, juicy texture while having a crispy exterior that wasn't overcooked and was full of the aroma from the Maillard reaction. But the steak sauce is the highlight of the dish. Surprisingly, it has a sweet flavor, with notes of caramelized onions, the sweetness of grapes, and the richness of red wine. Despite being sweet, it goes perfectly with the steak. I even used bread to scrape up every bit of the sauce. The rosemary potatoes as a side dish were also excellent—soft, flavorful, and not greasy. I also have a feeling that their pasta must be good. The Italian elderly couple next to us ordered beef pici, and the aroma was definitely spot on. The zucchini, shrimp, and truffle pasta on the menu is something I'd like to try next time.😻😻😻 After finishing the steak, it's perfect to head to the nearby street-side bar for a glass of wine. Wine is really important in Italy. Locals often enjoy a glass without any particular occasion. Of course, the wines from Tuscany are just exceptional. The bar next door is very small inside, and everyone orders their drinks and chats on the street. It's been busy since 5 pm. A simple house wine may not be the best in taste, but experiencing the local atmosphere of "drinking anywhere and everywhere 🍷" is really nice. [And I can confirm that there are many handsome Italian guys and beautiful ladies there.] 📍 Trattoria Napoleone 📍 Il Santino #ItalianCuisine #FlorenceFood #FlorenceTravel
