A True Historic Gem! πŸ›οΈπŸ’Ž

When planning our four-night holiday in New Orleans, we wanted a hotel right in the heart of the action that still held onto its authentic historic charm β€” and The Dauphine Hotel did not disappoint! We booked a Premium King Room in the Hermann House from Monday to Thursday, and it was absolutely wonderful. Our room opened onto a beautiful balcony overlooking Dauphine Street 🌿πŸͺŸ. The bed was super comfortable, the room stayed cool despite the humid weather, and we never ran out of hot water! πŸ›πŸ’¦ A heads-up for those new to historic stays: the walls and windows carry sound more than modern buildings. At 6 AM, when IV Waste came to collect trash and sweep the streets, it felt like they were right outside our window β€” because they were! πŸ˜„ The original doors are charmingly old-school (we loved the character!), but you might notice a bit of light seeping through around the edges. That said, the property is so well-maintained that we had zero issues with bugs or pests 🐜🚫. At night, you might hear folks heading back from Bourbon Street β€” singing, laughing, or debating the night’s events β€” but honestly, it all added to the authentic French Quarter vibe 🎭🎢. We visited during the week the rainy season tapered off, so the crowds (and noise) were milder than in peak season. Even with the early wake-up calls and nightly choruses, I’d absolutely stay here again! A true historic treasure with soul, style, and stories to tell. #TheDauphineHotel #HistoricStay #FrenchQuarter #BalconyViews #OldWorldCharm
