A Truly All-Access Backstage Tour with a Proud & Engaging Guide! 🎭

The backstage tour was absolutely fantastic! Our guide – passionate, proud, and deeply knowledgeable – led us through parts of the venue most visitors never get to see. We explored the warm-up rooms, rehearsal spaces, and the massive backstage area of the main auditorium. It’s incredible how much work goes on behind the scenes to prepare for just one performance! 💫👏 The tour made great use of the building’s elevators, taking us: ⬆️ Up to the 7th floor – where we visited the prop-making workshop, watching skilled craftspeople create magic with their hands 🛠️🎨 ⬇️ Down to the basement – to see what happens beneath the stage, from trapdoors to technical systems you usually only glimpse during shows 🎪⚙️ One slightly disappointing note: instead of using the incredible expertise within the building to train new staff and offer apprenticeships, the venue tends to collaborate with experienced professionals from outside. A missed opportunity to nurture the next generation of theatre talent! 🎓❤️ That said, the space itself – right in the heart of London – is absolutely magnificent. Being able to walk through these legendary halls, stand on the historic stage, and see the inner workings of a world-class performance venue was an unforgettable experience. #BackstageTour #TheatreLife #LondonTheatre #BehindTheScenes #StageDoor #PropMaking
