A Two-Day, One-Night Trip to New Orleans

A cozy New Orleans getaway 🍗~ Day 1 Oak Alley Plantation ➡️ Bourbon Street ➡️ The Sazerac House Club ➡️ Preservation Hall 🌟 Oak Alley Plantation (10:30 am) You can book tickets in advance on the official website or buy them on-site. We chose the tour that includes access to the “Big House” (the main historic mansion) and booked the 10:30 am slot one day ahead. We left at 9 am, and the one-hour drive got us there just in time. Important Tips: If you pick the “Big House” tour, arrive 30 minutes early. If you opt for the tour without “Big House” access, you can show up whenever you like. The staff at the entrance are super friendly! If you’re late for your “Big House” tour and miss it, they’ll automatically reschedule you for the next available slot or refund the price difference—no need to stress about missing your time. 🌟 Bourbon Street A perfect spot for a Citywalk—wander around, browse, and grab a bite to eat! We checked out French Truck Coffee 😋—it’s totally worth a try. Their coffee is rich and flavorful, a great pick-me-up during your stroll. 🌟 The Sazerac House Club (3 pm) You can book tickets in advance on the official website or purchase them on-site. There are multiple ticket packages available; we went with the free 🆓 one. We got to taste three drinks: 🍷 Whiskey, 🍷 Rum, and 🍷 Gin—all were absolutely fantastic! This spot is definitely worth a visit. ❗️Don’t forget to bring your ID (it’s required for alcohol tastings)! 🌟 Preservation Hall 🎵 (5 pm) ❕You need to book tickets 1–2 weeks in advance—we recommend choosing the best option for your needs. There are three types of tickets: Reserved seats (pre-assigned spots, no rushing). First-come, first-served seats (arrive early to secure a spot). Standing tickets (for those who don’t mind standing). The live jazz show was amazing 😌—you can also grab a drink 🍸 at the entrance before the performance. This is a must-visit spot in New Orleans! Day 2 St. Louis Cathedral ➡️ Royal Street 🌟 St. Louis Cathedral ⛪️ The cathedral is near Royal Street, so you can explore both places together. The square next to the cathedral is great for taking photos 📷. Nearby, there are also stalls where you can get portrait sketches or have your tarot cards read 🃏. 🌟 Royal Street Our second choice for a Citywalk—but note that there are quite a few homeless people around, so stay alert. We ate at Luke 🦪 on this street, but the food was just so-so—not really recommended. 🍽️ Restaurant Recommendations 1️⃣ Big Ez Seafood 2️⃣ Boil Seafood House 3️⃣ Bearcat #NewOrleans #NorthAmericanLife
