A Vegan Margarita Journey in Camden Town 🍕🌱💫
I’d been looking forward to visiting Purezza in Camden for so long — and finally, the day arrived! The restaurant looked beautiful and inviting, so we settled in with great excitement and ordered a Vegan Margarita Blue pizza, two Diet Cokes, and a beer. When the pizza arrived, it looked absolutely gorgeous — fresh, thoughtfully topped, and visually appealing. The ingredients were clearly high-quality, and the first few bites were promising. But as I continued, I realized their cooking style was a bit different from what I’m used to. A photo might capture the texture better than I can describe it in words! 📸🍕 I hadn’t planned on saying anything, but then something lovely happened. Our server came over and kindly asked if I’d like to take the rest home. I smiled and gently mentioned that, for my taste, it was slightly overcooked. She listened warmly, then went to check with the chef. When she returned, she explained that this was their signature style — and that cooking it any less would leave the center undercooked. Totally fair! She even generously offered to make me another one, though she noted it might come out softer in the middle while keeping their characteristic crisp edge. I politely declined — it’s clearly their intended style, and I’m sure many people love it. It just wasn’t for me. To my surprise, the manager later offered a 20% discount — bringing the total to £30 (as shown on the receipt: 2 Diet Cokes, a beer, and the Margarita Blue). Such a kind and thoughtful gesture! Though a small note: winning over everyone’s heart might come with a little extra cost. 😉 💭 Final Thoughts: Purezza is a charming restaurant with top-quality ingredients and a clear passion for plant-based cooking. I have no doubt that many people adore their pizza style — it just didn’t align with my personal preference. If you’re in Camden and love well-crafted vegan food, it’s still very much worth a visit! #PurezzaCamden #VeganPizza #CamdenEats #PlantBasedLondon #HonestReview
