A very local and delicious restaurant in Florence

📍 **Il Giova** Google Maps rating: 4.6! A local restaurant recommended by our Airbnb host. He said if you want to experience food that locals love, you definitely can't miss this place. It's his favorite! On the way there, we indeed saw many locals sitting or standing by the roadside, chatting and drinking. There wasn't a single Asian face (which was a bit intimidating). 🦀 **Crab Risotto** I usually only like very soft rice, but the risotto here was a bit al dente, which I found surprisingly delicious! It had a nice chew to it. The crab shells were soft and the meat was tasty—I really enjoyed it! 🌟 🍝 **Italian Ravioli** I'm not sure what to call it, but let's go with Italian ravioli. The waiter recommended it. The outer layer was like lasagna sheets, and it was filled with some kind of filling. I couldn't quite identify the filling, but it was pretty good! This Italian meat sauce was delicious 😋 🥬 **Grilled Spinach** It took a while to order the spinach. I asked the waiter if they had vegetables, and he typed something that translated to "fried vegetables," which made me say "No!" Later, I found out it was grilled vegetables. If you order it, you can point to a picture. (It was a bit salty and had some spices, but I really wanted some vegetables.) When you sit down, they bring you a basket of bread. Bad news: it's sourdough. I don't like sourdough, but if you do, you're in luck! We also ordered a large bottle of sparkling water 🫧 and surprisingly finished it. I asked for warm water, but they didn't have any. The total bill was 39 euros €. The waiter was a chubby, adorable guy who was very chatty and made the experience fun! #Florence #FlorenceCuisine #FlorenceTravel #FlorenceTravelTips
