A Week of Eating in Honolulu, Hawaii 🌺 | Spring Break Food Diary

Just spent spring break eating my way through Oahu and the Big Island — here’s the full report! 🤤 📍 Oahu 🍽️ Han no Daidokoro High-quality yakiniku — finally found a place in the US that matches Japan’s standards! Will definitely return. 🍽️ Uni Bowl at Mitsuwa $70 for a generous bowl of uni + extra sashimi from the market — so worth it! 🍣👌 🍽️ Osaka Teppanyaki Kawano Skip the uni here — $23 for a tiny spoonful with nori and rice 😂 But the okonomiyaki is solid! 🍽️ Tori Ton Great drinks! Loved the highball and Calpis mix 🥃 Yakitori is affordable and delicious — crispy chicken skin and savory eggplant appetizer. 🍽️ Gyukaku Not recommended — low quality, small portions, poor value. 🍽️ Siam Square Authentic Thai food — so good it made me emotional 😭 🍽️ Lawson’s Oden Missed this convenience store classic — warm and comforting! 🍢 🍽️ Island Vintage Coffee Bagels are good — coffee is a bit sweet for my taste. 🍽️ Marugame Udon Freshly made udon — ate two days in a row! Curry flavor > original. 🍽️ HK Cafe Crispy noodle & clay pot chicken rice tasted like home (Guangdong vibes 🇨🇳). Iced lemon tea was perfect! 📍 Big Island (Kona) 🍽️ Da Poke Shack A bit salty but delicious with rice and seaweed — Hawaii poke is just next level! 🍽️ Hotel Restaurant Poke Just okay — had to chop my own veggies for the salad 🥗 🍽️ Original Thai Cuisine They cooked our freshly caught fish! Had wings, fried rice, tom yum, and garlic fish — 3/5 ⭐ 🍽️ HiCO Coffee Taro latte was delicious! Loved the cup quote: “Don’t be afraid to make some waves” 🌊💜 🍽️ Abalone Farm Food truck with amazing abalone rice — a must-try if you’re passing by! 🍽️ TK Noodle Huge portion of beef pho — too much for one person! Broth was rich, but the menu is all over the place. 🍽️ Pa’akai Poke Lighter flavor — ate outside with curious birds waiting for crumbs 🐦😂 Already missing Hawaii’s poke and vibes… will be back! 🌺🤙 #Honolulu#HawaiianFood #EatTheWorld #FoodDiary #PokeLover #TravelAndEat #HawaiiEats
