A Wine Tasting Experience at Cape Town Wineries in South Africa

The wineries in Cape Town are quite famous. After doing some research, I chose the renowned Vergelegen Estate.🥰 The estate is about a 40-minute drive from Cape Town. There is an entrance fee of R20 per person, but parking is free. The estate is divided into several sections: 🍷Wine Tasting: There are three tiers of wine tasting options, ranging from R85 to R125 to R200, with each tier offering three different wines corresponding to different levels of quality. The only accompaniment available is a cheese platter for around R300. We tried the first two tiers and purchased a few bottles (priced between R150 and R600 per bottle). No reservation is needed for wine tasting; it's first-come, first-served. 🍴Restaurant: The restaurant, called Stables, mainly serves seafood-based Western cuisine. The average cost per person is around R300. 🍵Tea Area: I didn't get much information about this section. 🧺Outdoor Picnic Area: This requires advance reservation and includes outdoor snacks and bottled wine. 🍃Historical Cottages: These are open for tours, but photography is not allowed. 🧳Guided Tours: There are several different tours available, which also need to be booked in advance. You can check the details on their official website. Each section operates independently, and you cannot mix and match experiences. It's best to plan for about four hours for your visit, including wine tasting.☀️ ️#CapeTown #SouthAfrica #Wine #Travel #OverseasLife
