A short 200-300m walk leads to Aalborg Harbor. 🛥 Ferries (more like charming little boats) depart every 30 minutes. Simply purchase roundtrip tickets (20 DKK) at the self-service kiosk. 🛥 Vehicles board first upon arrival - though no ticket checks, honesty prevails! 🏕The captain enthusiastically provided us with an island map while steering with impressive skill. 🏕 In just 3-4 minutes, we reached Egholm's dock - astonishingly close! ⭐ Compact enough to explore on foot, the island offers fresh air and captivating coastal views. 🍣The seaside scenery is truly breathtaking. ⭐ Wandering through woodlands reveals delightful surprises: quirky road signs 🚷, unique vacation homes 🏕, curious cows 🐮 staring intently, and the unmissable wooden sculpture installation. 🍣 🍣Visitors leave colorful, inscribed stones - each seemingly carrying special hopes. 💙 Our return journey took an unexpected swamp detour, with shoes sinking deep in mud. After discovering an impassable route, we backtracked to main paths.💕 💙Watching the sun ☀ set, we trekked from daylight into dusk before finally reaching the pier. 💙 While Aalborg has limited attractions, Egholm proves genuinely worthwhile - perfect for summer barbecues!
