Abbotsford Apple 🍎 Picking | Bracken 🌿 Beef Soup

Abbotsford Apple 🍎 Picking | Bracken 🌿 Beef Soup 🟢 Advantages: - No admission fee 🎫; apples are charged by the quantity picked ($1.8/lb) — super wallet-friendly! - You can feed sheep 🐑—feed costs $1 per bag. Later, we found that refilling with the same bag only costs 25 cents per time 💸. Total win for animal lovers! - The farm is moderately sized; you can spend a good amount of time here when the weather is nice 🌤️. Perfect for a leisurely stroll. - Apple slushie is delicious 🍹, $3.99 per cup. Refreshing on a warm day! 🔴 Tips: - It’s far—located in Abbotsford, a bit out of the way even compared to the suburbs. The drive is 1.5 hours one way, and you might hit traffic 🚗💨. Plan accordingly! - Not suitable for extremely sunny days. There’s no shade, so it gets too hot ☀️. We went on a 29°C day with harsh sun, which completely wore us out. We picked apples for over ten minutes and then decided to leave 😩. - The apples are quite tart, great for juicing, but a bit too sour and astringent to eat raw (the ones we picked weren’t very red, so maybe they weren’t ripe enough 🍏). Many apples were green, and several paths were closed. It’s recommended to go two weeks later for better picks! ⚠️ I went to buy chili peppers and just stopped by for fun, which was okay. But if you make a special trip, don’t set your expectations too high—it’s a typical small-town farm with basic facilities 🚜. 🐂 Beef Soup Korean Restaurant: Noodle Road Since we were already there, we had to try my favorite Korean restaurant in the Greater Vancouver area—Noodle Road 🍜. It’s a ten-minute drive from the apple farm. The restaurant is small with decor that hasn’t changed in decades, a total neighborhood spot with no fancy dishes, just simple Korean food. However, the owner is a star chef from South Korea, so almost every dish is a hit 🌟, and the prices are reasonable. Average cost is $20–25 per person. Their soup tastes obviously simmered from scratch, and the sauce is different from the Korean chili paste sold in supermarkets—it’s rich yet not greasy 👅. The presentation isn’t great, but the beef is cooked until tender and shredded into strips. The best part is the addition of bracken; mixed with rice, one bowl is never enough 🍚. Absolute comfort food at its finest! All in all, a solid day of apple picking + hearty soup—worth the drive for the food alone 😉! #OutdoorNatureExploration#BeAChildOfNature#FruitPicking#Autumn#KidFriendly#VancouverLife#Food#RestaurantHopping
