Let me preface this: weβre serious foodies π§βπ³π¨βπ³, and as Europeans, we appreciate a slower, more refined dining experience β think small portions of high-quality ingredients, elegant service thatβs attentive but never overbearing, and an atmosphere that whispers class. August delivered on every single level. π―β€οΈ The wine list alone was a masterpiece ππ·, and we were thrilled by the excellent selection of half-bottles (which is exactly what we went for!). π As for the dress code β I wore a jacket, though it wasnβt strictly necessary. But since my wife dressed up for the evening, I thought, why not match her elegance? π The restaurant and bar are run by a warm, chatty, and passionate young team. We especially loved our conversation with the sommelier β knowledgeable yet totally approachable! π£οΈπ Now, the food β oh, the food! π We started with the Tuna Tartare β exquisite flavor, with just the right hint of spice β and my wife had the Louisiana Tomato Tart, which was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. π π§ For mains, the Duck Breast was cooked to perfection , tender and rich, clearly using top-tier produce. The Pontchartrain Fish of the Day was another win β translucent at the center, flaky and moist. π Portions were just right β generous in flavor but not overwhelming.
