Acadia Is Stunning! Maine Is Totally Worth the Visit!
Maine has such a chill vibe, and the people are so nice. What left the deepest impression, though, was Acadia National Park—since it was late May, it wasn’t yet peak tourist season. There were few crowds, the weather was cool, and the overall experience was fantastic! We stayed at an Airbnb inside the park; while the accommodation was basic, there was a restaurant right downstairs, and it was super convenient to get to all the attractions. ⛰️ The Bubbles Trail This trail has two routes: North and South. North Bubble Trail: Offers a panoramic view of Jordan Pond—it’s absolutely breathtaking! Standing at the summit, feeling the wind on your face while admiring the scenery is such a relaxing joy. South Bubble Trail: Ends at Bubble Rock, a large boulder perched on a cliff. The views here are slightly less impressive compared to the North Bubble. If you’re short on time or energy, sticking to the North Bubble Trail is more than enough. Nearby, there’s also the Jordan Pond Trail—a 3-mile loop around the pond with pleasant views, perfect for a leisurely post-hike stroll. 🏖️ Sand Beach It’s a pretty standard beach, but I’ve heard it’s amazing for watching sunsets and stargazing ✨! In May, the seawater is still freezing cold—only the brave would dare to take a dip! The temperature here is noticeably lower than other areas, so if you’re planning to catch the sunset or stargaze, don’t forget to bundle up. 🧗 Beehive Trail This is the most beautiful and steepest trail in the park. It’s a one-way route (no turning back) with a total length of 1.5 miles. There’s a section where you have to scramble up using both hands and feet—and honestly, that was my favorite part! The climb is tough, but once you reach the top and see the views, you’ll feel every bit of effort was worth it. Highly recommended! 🌮 Evening in Bar Harbor We had Mexican food at Salsa Verde Grill in Bar Harbor. The atmosphere was great, but the food was a bit too salty (the red and green salsas were so salty they made my eyes water!). Bar Harbor itself is a lovely, laid-back town—taking a walk around the area after dinner was the perfect way to wind down. 🌄 Sunrise at Cadillac Mountain Sitting on the rocks, feeling the wind and listening to the soft sound of waves, watching the sky gradually turn orange… it fills you with a deep sense of peace and hope. Whether you’re alone or with family and friends, watching the sunrise over the ocean here is an unforgettable experience. This trip to Acadia gave me a strong feeling that “life is worth living.” If you have time, go out and explore more—you won’t regret it! 📝 Important Notes Sunrise Reservations: The number of spots for sunrise viewing is limited. You need to snag tickets ($6 per car) on the official website at 10 AM, two days in advance. Tickets usually sell out within 2 minutes, so it’s best to register an account and fill in your information beforehand. Warmth Is Key: It’s freezing cold at the mountain top—bring your thickest down jacket, hat, scarf, blanket, and gloves! Trust me, you’ll need all of them. Hiking Tips: Always follow the trail markers. If you don’t, you might end up straying into unmarked “wild hills” by accident. Offline Maps: Some areas in the park have no cell service, so download offline maps in advance. Local Eats: Maine’s blueberries 🫐 and lobsters 🦞 are incredible—make sure to try them! #Maine #AcadiaNationalPark #Travel #EasternUS
