Affordable Michelin Dining in London | Enjoying Fine Dining on a Budget 🌸

Galvin La Chapelle, located near Liverpool Street station, is a Michelin-starred restaurant. The restaurant has high ceilings, elegant decor, and an imposing presence. We visited on a Saturday at noon, and the restaurant was bustling with people. We opted for the three-course set lunch menu, which included half a bottle of wine and petit four, priced at £68 per person. Starters • Charred Watermelon Gazpacho: This chilled soup has a smooth texture with a well-balanced sweet and sour taste; the addition of watermelon adds a refreshing twist, making it very appetizing. • Cornish Bream Carpaccio: The bream is very fresh, paired with a red onion sweet and sour sauce that perfectly neutralizes the fish's oily sensation, making the overall taste richer and not greasy. Main Courses • Seafood Fregola: The sauce is rich and full of the delicacy of the sea. The wheat pearls are chewy and absorb the concentrated seafood sauce, making the taste very sweet and fresh. • Take on a “Cassoulet”: The pork belly is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, melting in your mouth. The white beans absorb the essence of the meat juices, soft and slightly sweet, with a rich overall texture. Desserts • “Daiquiri”: This mousse cup made with strawberry, vodka, and lime, I personally found a bit too sour. • Ivoire White Chocolate Mousse: The white chocolate mousse has a delicate and light texture, and the addition of matcha provides a hint of refreshing bitterness, preventing the dessert from being overly sweet. #FoodExploration #MichelinRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurant #LondonFood #LondonLife #LondonFoodie #MichelinLondon
