Affordable Omakase in Toronto ๐Ÿฃ Love Foie Gras? This Place Has It All

๐ŸŸWhen we first arrived, expectations were low because the plaza looked a bit shabby, and the store was small. But as soon as we sat down, we noticed the two chefs were Japanese, and the patrons didn't seem like they were there for the gram. It felt like we were in for a treat. ๐ŸŸThe first course of sashimi was incredibly fresh. The chutoro just melted in my mouth โ€“ it was amazing! Next up was the tea-steamed egg and a simple but delicious plate of chicken and fish. ๐ŸฃThe sushi included 11 pieces. They started us off with a duo of uni and salmon roe โ€“ such bliss! The shrimp head was crispy, like a mini shrimp snack, and the shrimp meat was incredibly sweet โ€“ it's love at first bite! The salmon was a pleasant surprise โ€“ it was marinated to perfection, with a savory flavor that set it apart from other places. My usual favorite, tuna, was as good as ever. ๐ŸŸThe eel was stunning โ€“ it was hot and crispy, dusted with sansho pepper, making me feel like I was back in Japan enjoying freshly grilled eel rice! It was a completely different experience from the sweet, cold eel you usually find!!! (I mentioned to the chef that I was a bit full and asked for less rice, so he jokingly served me a super mini version first, haha. He said, "Is this enough?" and when he brought the regular version, he playfully mentioned it would be an extra charge.) #Omakase #RestaurantRecommendation #FoieGras #FeastForTheSenses #JapaneseCuisine
