After the sweltering heat comes the tranquility within.

**St. Martin's Cathedral 13:00-13:20** A rather unremarkable-looking church on the outside, it was the coronation church of the Kingdom of Hungary from 1563 to 1830 and is also the largest and oldest church in Bratislava.😍😍😍 **Bratislava Castle 13:20-14:00** Most Central European countries have a castle named after their capital, such as Buda Castle in Hungary and Prague Castle in the Czech Republic. Bratislava Castle is located on a hill west of the Old Town by the Danube River. During the period when the Turks occupied Budapest, this place served as a refuge for the Hungarian royal family. There is a saying in Bratislava: "If you haven't climbed up to Bratislava Castle to overlook the Danube, you haven't really been to Slovakia."😻😻😻 **Soviet War Memorial (Slavín) 14:00-15:00** The memorial is on a hill even higher than the castle, where thousands of Soviet soldiers who died during World War II are buried. After a fierce battle in 1945, the city was taken from the German forces.🤓🤓🤓 **Devín Castle 15:00-18:30** Devín Castle is the oldest castle in Slovakia, with a history of over a thousand years. It is located in the suburbs of Bratislava, about a half-hour bus ride away. Originally used as a defensive tower, a palace was later built on top of it. It was destroyed by Napoleon's army in the 19th century, so now only ruins remain. Despite this, Devín Castle holds great significance in Slovakia. For example, a 19th-century poet compared the castle to a symbol of Slovakia, and early Slovak currency featured an image of the castle. Interestingly, you can also see a clear distinction between the light-colored Danube River and the darker Morava River, which converge here.😍😍😍 **Restaurant Recommendation: Slovak Pub** Located near the Old Town, this pub is highly recommended. The roasted pork ribs are a must-try, costing only 13 euros for a large portion with two racks of ribs. The flavor is a perfect balance of sweet and savory, even better than the ribs I've had in Belgium and the Czech Republic. The ribs are cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender interior. In contrast, the bread soup is quite ordinary and not to my taste. If you're dining alone, one portion of ribs is enough, served with free bread to accompany the meal. You'll definitely leave satisfied! #Slovakia #SlovakiaTravel #Bratislava #BratislavaTravel
