Akatuki Covent Garden Japanese Restaurant

A newly opened Japanese restaurant in London that’s super delicious, with an average spend of £60. They have two locations; Covent Garden is the new one, and the other is Akatuki Muswell Hill, which seemed a bit dated, so we chose the Covent Garden spot. Make sure to book in advance! 🍣Sushi Set We ordered the pure sashimi set. The menu prices are per person, so be mindful when ordering. The fish is incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and you get to enjoy seven types of sashimi! The soy sauce dip is homemade and deliciously sweet. 🍝Creamy Truffle Udon The creamy mushroom udon noodles are not greasy and get more delicious with each bite. They’re just a bit too small a portion; I could have eaten more. 🥩A5 Japanese Wagyu Ribeye Super tender wagyu, grilled on the side stone plate. According to the staff, it’s of very high quality. Best of all, it’s half price! Such a steal! Just sear it slightly and it’s ready to eat, so tender and juicy! Hahaha 🍨The last dessert was an ice cream, but I’m not sure what it’s called. It comes with two scoops, and we chose two flavors, but ended up with two matcha scoops. We finished them, and the server brought us another one, apologizing for the mix-up and offering it as a complement. Wow! This level of service is worth the 12.5% service charge. #LondonFood #LondonFoodExploration #LondonFoodGuide #Life #JapaneseCuisine #SalmonSashimi #JapaneseRestaurant #Wagyu #UnforgettableFood
