Akihabara Must-Visit Spots and Shops | The Clearest Guide Online đ
As an otaku, when you're in Tokyo, Japan, how can you miss out on visiting Akihabara? I'm sharing with you a travel and check-in guide for Akihabara in Tokyo, recommending some great shops and delicious food. For more itinerary guides, check out my main page, and don't forget to follow! đ đď¸ Shopping Recommendations (Locations marked with orange numbers in Figure 2) ăAkihabara Gashapon KaikanăCloses at 20:00, featuring around 500 gashapon machines. ăJungle 1st StoreăFigure and second-hand store. ăSurugaya Akihabara Honkană(Figure 3) Closes at 21:00, a large chain second-hand store with a vast selection of used anime goods (tax-free available). ăDaikokuyaăCloses at 19:30, start from the top floor and work your way down; the 8th floor has many antiques and super cheap figures. ăMulan Central Shopping Street BranchăCloses at 21:00, mainly second-hand goods, not a wide variety, but all the popular items are there. ăAkiba Cultures ZoneăCloses at 23:00, 1st floor has second-hand sealed figures; 2nd floor has unboxed figures; 4th floor has a large number of figure display cases where you can find cheap good items. The process: record the unique code of the item with a pencil on a standardized note, call the staff to fetch the item, the code corresponds to specific display cabinets and layers. ăAkihabara RADIO KaikanăCloses at 20:00, a landmark building in Akihabara (Figure 4), you can shop to your heart's content inside; the 2nd floor also has a large number of figure display cases (the process is the same as before), tax refund available for purchases over 5500 yen. ăVolks Akihabara Hobby HeavenăCloses at 20:00, a large selection of figures (6th to 7th floors close at 19:00). ăTamashii Nations StoreăCloses at 20:00, the first flagship store of Bandai with reasonable prices. The Gundam, Evangelion units, and others are generally cheaper than in China (Figure 5). đ¤ Food Recommendations (Locations marked with purple numbers in Figure 2) ăHakata FurudragonăA famous ramen chain store, expect a queue, located right next to the Gashapon Kaikan. ăAkihabara CaligariăThe same curry rice as, the shop is small, but the taste is really great. Recommended set meal with Japanese curry and fried shrimp cake. đ Tips Most figures in Akihabara are a bit more expensive compared to China, but there may be some cheap ones, so you might find some good deals. If time allows, take some night shots of Akihabara. If you happen to buy a lot of stuff and your luggage isn't enough, you can buy a suitcase at the second store on the left of Akihabara GIGo 2nd Building, they are relatively cheap.
