Alaska Food Finds! š¦
Alaska Food Finds! š¦ Thanks to for helping us find so many delicious eats in the icy wilderness (well, not really š„¹)! So before I forget, hereās a record to give back to the community šāØ š¦ Wild Scoops A very pretty-looking ice cream place. A waffle cone + cotton candy turns it into a Baked Alaska. The shop calls it āadventurous flavor,ā but itās not really adventurous and⦠way too rich! But still very pretty š„¹ š Moose Tooth Big thanks to for this one! If we hadnāt seen it on , weād never have thought to eat pizza in Alaska š¤£. Said to be the third-best pizza in the U.S., and it lives up to the hype! The cheese pulls beautifully, and the crust is perfectly baked (plus itās genuinely great valueāfeels like a $30 meal for just over ten bucks!) š°šÆ š Aurora Winter Train Food on the trainļ½ Actually not bad at all, not as terrible as the rumors! (Or maybe our standards are low hhh, the reindeer sausage was tasty) š¦š šØ Pikeās Landing @ Fairbanks Went because it was next to our hotel, and I thought it was pretty decent! The crab-stuffed mushrooms were delicious (a bit heavy on the butter but very fragrant). But the Aurora Gin was basically a scam! The description said ālike dancing auroraā with a beautiful picture, but it was just an ice cube with a tiny blinking light inside⦠š” (Shouldāve seen it coming! Not sure what I was expecting⦠The upside is you can take the little cup home after drinkingļ½) šøš” š¦ Chowder House @ Fairbanks The most satisfying food of this trip! It didnāt disappoint! The crab roll brightened my whole day! Price-wise, itās much cheaper than others at just $30ā40, and the portions are super generous. The halibut chowder was also deliciousāand I usually donāt even like creamy soups š„¹. (But if you donāt like sweet drinks⦠donāt order any latte⦠No matter how cute the staff is or how beautifully they describe it⦠itās really, really sweet!) šš Ran out of spaceāmore in the next post! āļø #alaska#AlaskaFood#fairbanks#anchorage#AlaskaTravel#Alaska
