Alaska Travel Honest Experience
Alaska Travel Honest Experience|Fairbanks Before heading to Fairbanks, I was constantly worried that bad weather would ruin our chances of seeing the Northern Lights. But it turned out my worries were completely unnecessary! 🍀 Right on the flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks, we encountered a major aurora outburst 🌌✈️. Although thick clouds prevented the lights from reaching the ground (our guide later told us that travelers on the ground couldn't see them that night), we were incredibly lucky to enjoy a breathtaking visual feast from the air. Over the next two nights, we continued to successfully chase the lights—absolutely worth every penny! 🥹 On the third and fourth days, we visited Denali National Park and the Arctic Circle. Most of the time was spent in the car, but with fewer people and spacious seating, it was actually quite comfortable. We chatted with other travelers, took turns playing music via Bluetooth, and stopped frequently for photos—it really felt like we were filming a road movie 😎. Our guide, Fang, was extremely dedicated. Later, when we were so cold we couldn’t hold the camera anymore and were ready to sprint back to the car, muttering, “No more, I can’t take it,” Fang would call out, “Wait, wait! One more shot!” 😂 In the end, we ended up shivering in the car while Fang enthusiastically braved the cold with his camera. Still, big thanks to him—his aurora portrait skills are truly professional! 👍 On the fifth day, Fang had other plans, so we went with another guide. This was originally the day I was most looking forward to, featuring dog sledding and hot springs, but it turned out to be the most disappointing day of the trip 🤢. The activities themselves were fun, but some guides really make it obvious they’re just after your money 💸. I won’t go into details here, but feel free to DM me if you’re interested—consider it a potential warning ⚡️. To those trying dog sledding: remember to secure everything in your pockets! One sharp turn and your phone might just fly out... right, S? 🤭 As for Chena Hot Springs, the conditions were pretty rough. There was an indescribable smell as soon as we entered, and the walk from the changing room to the pool was so cold it gave me an adrenaline rush 🥶. Personally, I’d say it’s just okay—not highly recommended. On the last day, Fang treated us to some delicious crepes 🥞 and gave each of us a small bottle of gold flakes sold at the museum and a fridge magnet as souvenirs 🧲💛. I’m truly grateful for all the joy he brought to this trip and sincerely wish everyone happy travels ahead! ✨ #AlaskaTravel#Fairbanks#NorthernLights#TravelTips#DogSledding#HotSprings#TravelMemories
