Albuquerque | El Paisa Taqueria
Heard that their tacos are even better than the ones in Mexico City 🫢, so I quickly decided to have lunch here! It was a little past 1 PM when I arrived—just after the lunch rush—so it wasn’t crowded. But the queue guides in front of the window totally hinted at how popular this place gets during peak hours! Though it’s a simple counter-service spot, the auntie taking orders was super friendly 😊. She gave me suggestions, and patiently waited while I desperately dug out the little cash I had (yep, it’s cash only 💵). Here’s what I ordered: 🌮 Barbacoa: Super tender cheek meat, slow-cooked till it melts in your mouth. 🌮 Al Pastor: Classic marinated pork—the seasoning was incredible! 🌮 Lengua: Beef tongue, but not too chewy at all. Perfect texture. 🌮 Buche: Pork stomach marinated in local red chili. A little chewy with a mild spice—very friendly for Chinese taste buds! I also tried: 🌯 Frijol con Queso Burrito: Beans and melted cheese stretching like crazy—smooth like chocolate! 🧀 Quesadillas con Carne Asada: Cheese and finely chopped grilled steak. You can order one or two, and I went all out with beans, cheese, and avocado salad. A full meal indeed! The flavor was truly amazing 🤤. After ordering at the window, you just wait for your number to be called. The March sun in Albuquerque was warm and bright ☀️, so I sat on the patio enjoying my lunch slowly… totally satisfied and happy 💚. 📍El Paisa Taqueria: 820 Bridge Blvd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 #SummerCatLovesFood #AuthenticFlavors #Taco #NewMexico #Albuquerque #AlbuquerqueFood #RoadTrip #LifeInNorthAmerica
