Albuquerque | El Pinto 🌶️
Day 1 in New Mexico — flew into ABQ super tired, but this place totally lifted our mood with their amazing spicy grilled ribs! 😋 We weren’t super hungry since we’d already had a big lunch at another Mexican spot (those portions everywhere are no joke 😮), so five of us shared just two dishes — and it was perfect! 🔥 Red Chile Ribs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I saw online that these are ranked the “3rd best ribs in the US” — not sure where that came from, but it’s totally believable! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the red chili glaze was aromatic and flavorful without being too spicy. We wrapped the meat and sauce in warm tortillas — absolutely heavenly! 🌯❤️ 🍲 Green Chile Stew ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 This soup was also a star! Made with roasted green chilies, chicken, and potatoes — so comforting and slightly sweet from the peppers. Paired perfectly with the spicy ribs. We thought about trying the fried chilies too, but didn’t want to overdo the grease. And guess what? With just these two dishes, it came out to only ~$10 per person 😭💸 New Mexico prices are a dream! The complimentary chips were warm, crispy, and endless — honestly, you could almost get full on those alone 🧡. Even though we were exhausted, the food was so good I had to post this ASAP! The restaurant is huge with plenty of parking 🅿️, but try to make a reservation — we got lucky tonight! 📍 10500 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114 #ElPinto #NewMexicoEats #ABQFood #BestRibs #FoodReview #TravelNM #BudgetEats
