Albuquerque Has Great Food Too! | Delicious Restaurant Recommendations

Here’s my food diary from my trip through New Mexico! Even in a quieter, more rugged state, you can find some real culinary gems. Trust me—it’s not a food desert! 😋🌵 🔥 Bravo! Italian Kitchen 📍 Located in Albuquerque Uptown (near Trader Joe’s — great for travel snacks!) A solid Italian spot with delicious pasta dishes like Pasta Bravo, Spaghetti Bolognese, and Shrimp Scampi 🍝🦐 🔥 Little Anita's New Mexican Food 📍 In Albuquerque’s Old Town Authentic New Mexican cuisine — their Fajitas are a must-try! 🌯🔥 🔥 Midtown Bistro 📍 Santa Fe We went on Thanksgiving with a holiday menu. A reliable American bistro with good drinks. Tried the lamb chops, steak, sea bass, and ice cream dessert — tasty though not mind-blowing 🍖🍷 🔥 Dolina Cafe & Bakery 📍 Santa Fe Cozy breakfast spot! Loved the Lemon Poppy Seed Muffin and chocolate croissant 🥐🍋. The lemon pie was a bit sweet for my taste. 🔥 La Boca 📍 Santa Fe Popular Spanish tapas restaurant with great ambiance. Standouts: Kale Salad, Gambas Fritas (fried shrimp), Chicharrones De Andaluz (tender pork belly), Lamb Albondigas (meatballs), and their classic seafood paella 🥘 🔥 Alicia’s Tortilleria Authentic Mexican joint with a Spanish-language menu. Perfect for breakfast! Affordable and delicious — try the Breakfast Burrito or Beef Stew 🌯🧀. Also great tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. Small space, better for takeout. 🔥 Rocket National Buffet Chinese buffet near White Sands NP 🥡 — basic but hits the spot after a sunset hike! Other notable mentions: 🌶️ El Pinto Restaurant (ABQ – Southwestern) 🌶️ M'tucci's Italian (ABQ – Italian) 🌶️ Tomasita's (Santa Fe – New Mexican classics) Pro tip: Some places get busy — book ahead on OpenTable if you’re visiting on holidays! ✅ #FoodDiary #USATravel #NewMexicoEats #EatLikeALocal #FoodieRecs #NewMexico #TravelDining
