Amazing Underground Italian Restaurant
Today I checked out Bistro Romano, located at 120 Lombard St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 - ⭐ First dish: Fried Calamari Rolls. I have to say, they’re so delicious that I wanted to order another portion right away! The elderly white lady at the next table loved them too—I heard her saying they should’ve ordered two servings. - ⭐ Second dish: Pasta with Black Truffle Cream. The flavor is good, but the portion is quite large—definitely a solid carb bomb 💣. - ⭐ Main courses: We ordered swordfish and duck breast. The duck breast is fantastic, highly recommended! The swordfish is tender too, and the rice served with it is super chewy—no exaggeration, it has a texture similar to konjac snacks (chewy and bouncy). - ⭐ Side dish: BRUSSELS SPROUTS. It tastes great on its own, and even better when paired with cheese and sauce. - ⭐ Drinks: We ordered a glass of Moscato and a Margarita. Additionally, they offer a chef’s menu with 5 courses, which includes their other signature dish—squid ink pasta. However, I didn’t feel like having steak as the main course today, so I opted for a la carte instead (the chef’s menu seems to change regularly). Overall, it’s an amazing restaurant with a great experience—I’d definitely come back again. The service is good too! #PhiladelphiaFood #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #Upenn #Food
