Amsterdam’s photogenic spots totally surprised me🌷

During the 8-day gap between Portugal’s first and third Euro group matches, I squeezed in a trip to Amsterdam. My impression of Amsterdam used to be just tulips, the Red Light District, and legalized vices—but turns out, the architecture is stunning too! On my first day, I caught an epic sunset and snapped some 🔥 shots. Since I mostly did citywalk, all these spots are 100% free and super accessible. Here’s where I shot: 📸 Free Photo Spots: Sluishuis (futuristic floating apartments) LuminAir Hotel (secret rooftop: take elevator to 9F, head toward the river, and find the open terrace 🚪) Kamper Bridge (classic canals + bikes) Stromma Central Station Canal Cruises (iconic waterfront) Leidseplein (vibrant square vibes) Damrak (postcard-worthy canal houses) Zaandam (quirky green wooden houses) Zaanse Schans (2 stops from Zaandam, €6.20 round-trip—windmills galore! 🌬️) Valley (trippy modern architecture) 💡 Quick Takes: Amsterdam’s small—2 days is enough. Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum are cool but overpriced (more than the Louvre?!). Casa Rosso (Pink Elephant) is pricey but next-level real compared to US "fantasy" shows. Caught the Netherlands vs. France match—the whole city turned ORANGE! 🟠 #AmsterdamTravel #Netherlands #HiddenGems #Citywalk #TravelPhotography #Euro2024 #FootballFans #FreePhotoSpots
