An Ultra-Authentic Northern Italian Restaurant
Dundas W is really the place to be, with delicious restaurants popping up left and right. This spot I’m checking in at specializes in genuine Northern Italian 🇮🇹 cuisine. I learned from the staff that the restaurant’s headquarters are in Milan, and Toronto is just a branch. There are really so many dishes here that I’ve never seen in other Toronto restaurants. 🐂 Carpaccio Di Manzo - Italian Thinly Sliced Raw Beef So good it makes you scream 🙀!!! It literally melts in your mouth!!! Tender fillet mignon slices + generous Parmesan Cheese with arugula As an appetizer, it’s very refreshing and appetizing. I’m still savoring it days later… 🍄🟫 Gnocchi Caserecci Al Tartufo As soon as it arrives, the rich truffle aroma hits you. The gnocchi is homemade, with potato dough that’s soft and chewy, very Al dente. Paired with fresh ground black truffle + sausage + creamy sauce, it’s hard not to be delicious. 🥟 Casoncelli Alla Bergamasca - Italian Dumplings The little “dumplings” arranged together are adorable, with a filling of veal and pork. The filling is sweet and juicy, very flavorful. The addition of sage makes it unexpectedly delicious. Sprinkled with crispy pancetta to enhance the texture. 🍖 Mondeghili - Milan Meatballs It’s a traditional Milanese dish, a bit like croquettes. The surface is fried to a golden crisp, and it pairs perfectly with saffron mayo. The dish is introduced as “hailing Milano,” showing its significance in the hearts of Milanese people. The desserts, Tiramisu and cheesecake, are both up to standard, safe bets for blind orders. The restaurant vibe is also 👍🏻, perfect for friend gatherings and dates. And if you want to try some more distinctive Italian dishes, you can’t go wrong here! 📍 Stelvio #TorontoEatsDrinksFun #TorontoLife #TorontoFood #ItalianCuisine #WesternCuisine #TorontoFoodie #FoodieCheckIn #TorontoWesternCuisine #Pasta #FoodDiary
