An Underrated Gem in New Orleans! 💎🏰
I booked this hotel on a whim to celebrate the New Year in New Orleans — and I’m so glad I did! I’d read plenty of mixed reviews beforehand, but here’s the real story: Yes, the building is old — it was built in 1806, and that’s part of its magic! Think of the history, the stories, the charm ✨📜. We stayed in Unit 7 — a cozy two-bedroom, one-bath setup, all on one floor with no stairs. The space was full of character, the beds were super comfortable, and the location was perfect — right between Royal Street and Decatur Street, surrounded by art galleries, cafes, and music 🎨☕🎷. The area was lively yet peaceful at night — no street noise to complain about! However, if you have active neighbors upstairs, you might hear some footsteps 👣… but honestly? Don’t mind it! The pool was lovely, and no, the vents weren’t dirty — again, don’t mind the nitpicky comments! 🙄💦 The unit isn’t outdated, but do bring your own soap, body wash, and shampoo — they’re not provided. Plenty of outlets for charging your devices, and there’s a grocery store nearby for snacks and essentials 🛒🔌. A special thanks to Maria and her team — they made us feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived 🥰🤗. If we’re lucky enough to be back in New Orleans for New Year’s, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again! #UnderratedGem #HistoricStay #NewOrleansNYE #FrenchQuarterVibes #CharmingOldBuilding #TravelRealTalk #WillBeBack
