What an incredible night at Commander's Palace — my first visit since 2002, and it was worth the wait! This iconic New Orleans spot remains the gold standard for elegant, old-school fine dining with soul. From the moment we entered, we felt the timeless charm and grace of this place. Seated at a beautiful banquet table with a lovely view of the dining room, we soaked in the comfortable and tranquil atmosphere — perfect for a special evening 🕯️✨. Our servers, Billy and Sarah, were the dream team — professional, efficient, and genuinely kind. The wine list was impressively diverse, offering perfect pairings for every course 🍷👌. We started with turtle soup — rich, savory, and deeply flavorful 🐢🍲. For my main course, I had the Pappardelle with wild mushrooms — and it was, without exaggeration, one of the best dishes I’ve ever tasted! So aromatic, tender, and beautifully seasoned 🍄❤️. My dining companion had the cod, which was also delicate, flaky, and full of flavor 🐟🥬. We ended this magnificent meal with bread pudding in bourbon sauce — warm, decadent, and pure comfort in a bowl 🍮🔥. Commander’s Palace continues to shine as a must-visit destination in NOLA.
