Ann Arbor, What Do You Have to Compete with Pittsburgh? ๐
I recently visited a friend at CMU โ my first time in Pittsburgh. From their description, Iโd imagined a city with mediocre Chinese food and not much to do, somewhat similar to what Iโd experienced during my time in Ann Arborโฆ ๐๏ธโ But as soon as we drove into Pittsburgh and reached the iconic overlook, I knew I was wrong. Ann Arborโs skyline barely reaches 20 floors, while Pittsburgh has not just one โ but several โ buildings towering beyond that. ๐ The night view alone was stunning enough to make me want to sit there and finish a whole dayโs worth of assignments. And when it comes to food? Ann Arbor definitely canโt compete with the variety of Chinese restaurants here! Though both cities get chilly, Pittsburgh feels more like a real city โ bigger, livelier, and undeniably beautiful. ๐โจ I used to wonder whether it was just me who found Ann Arbor a bit uneventful โ until a high school friend (who did his Masterโs at UM) texted me last month asking, โHow did you survive four undergrad years there??โ ๐ My reply: โDancing, part-time work, and late, late nights.โ ๐๐ฆ Despite all the teasing, Iโll always love UMich. Ever since I got my car, my license plate frame has proudly displayed โMichigan Wolverines.โ ๐๐๐ In my opinion, UMich has some of the strongest school spirit in North America โ no matter where you go, youโll spot alumni repping the maize and blue. ๐บโค๏ธ Already feeling nostalgic writing this โ Iโll definitely go back when I have the chance. And to all the current Wolverines I never got to meet: Wishing you focus, growth, and success in your studies! ๐๐ GO BLUE! ๐๐ #MichiganAnnArbor #AnnArbor #UniversityOfMichigan #Umich #UM #Pittsburgh
