šŸ„‚. 🌸 Vibe & Setting: Retro, Quiet, Perfect for Slow Meals The old train track view + vintage decor makes it feel like a little escape from campus chaos. It’s never too loud, so you can actually talk without yelling—ideal for dates or catching up with friends. Even just grabbing a coffee here feels special, let alone a full meal. šŸ„– Complimentary Bread: Top 5 Worthy! First off, the bread—it’s in my top 5 favorite restaurant breads in AA! Warm, crusty on the outside, soft inside, and it tastes like it’s baked fresh. I could easily fill up on this alone (but save room for apps—trust me). 🦪 Apps: 10/10, the Real Stars Here Every appetizer I’ve tried is a home run—no misses, especially the scallop: Other Apps: No duds here! Whether it’s charcuterie, roasted veggies, or small plates, everything is well-seasoned and fresh. They clearly put more love into starters than anything else—and it shows. šŸ½ļø Mains: Hit-or-Miss, Stick to Duck Mains are middle-of-the-road—some are fine, some are disappointing, and they don’t always live up to the price: Roast Duck: The only main I’d order twice! The skin is super crispy (no soggy bits!), the meat is tender, and the flavor is unique—bright, slightly savory, and just fun. Eating it genuinely puts me in a good mood 😊. Seafood Mains: All pretty average. Fresh enough, but no standout flavors—just ā€œnormalā€ seafood dishes you could get at any casual spot. Nothing to write home about. šŸØ Desserts: Avoid at All Costs The desserts are so bad, I still think about how weird they tasted: Raspberry Sorbet: Tastes like laundry detergent. It’s just artificial dye + fruity syrup mixed with ice—no real raspberry flavor, just a chemical aftertaste. I took one spoonful and pushed it away. Lime Pine: Sugary, sour mess. It’s basically concentrated lime juice + more sugar than necessary + random tart additives. It’s cloying and harsh—no balance at all. šŸ’° Final Verdict: Go for Apps + Duck, Skip Desserts At $65–80 per person (I do eat a lot, but still), it’s mid-range for AA—but the mains don’t always justify the price. But the apps, bread, and vibe? Worth it. Next time, I’ll skip mains entirely, order a bunch of appetizers, and maybe skip dessert for a coffee instead. It’s still a top 5 fave for a reason—just know where to focus! #AnnArborFood #AnnArbor #UniversityOfMichiganAnnArbor #FineDining #DateNightSpots #AnnArborEats #MichiganFood
