Another Day Fooled by 11 Tiger๐ฏ
๐On Saturday, I was drawn in by the beautiful pictures of Tiger 11 online and excitedly went to check out this Japanese-Thai fusion restaurant. It was strange, though. ๐ค The place wasn't busy at all on a Saturday, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. ๐ The first dish, the oysters, had a bitter taste. The combination of oysters was far from fresh. The waiter suggested it might be the sauce, but it was clearly the oysters themselves. I took one bite and couldn't bring myself to eat more. The restaurant ended up taking it back! ๐ฆช ๐ข The much-hyped sea urchin and Wagyu rice bowl did taste good, but the portion was tiny. It had just enough sea urchin for two bites and three pieces of Wagyu, leaving a large bowl of plain rice. I had to use the soup from the noodles to make it more palatable and finish it! ๐ ๐ธThe shrimp noodles were undercooked when they arrived, with a few strands still clumped together. The lemon broth was overpowering, almost artificial, and the only garnish was mushrooms. ๐ค #JapaneseThaiFusion #NYCFoodGuide ๐๐
