Had a reservation (albeit Saturday and reasonably expected to be busy) but didn’t sit down at the actual table for over an hour. Host/manager was nice and trying his best to move things along. The bartender didn’t ask if we wanted anything for 30-40 mins (sitting right at bar in front of him). Took another girl’s order first who came in well after us. I understand tending to drinks for the room, but bar only had a few seats to deal with so that was kind of strange to have both bartenders not really acknowledge you. Finally sat at the table and saw my single cocktail sit in the service stand for nearly 15 minutes. no one really came to the table to great us or take any orders until right before we decided to bail. The guy was at least honest that the food would take awhile. Ended up leaving and getting pizza next door so can’t comment on the food- it looked good. We were really excited but had to be somewhere/worried that ordering would take another hour after already being delayed even sitting and watching the one drink take essentially 30 mins from order. Definitely understaffed or strange operations style or combo of both. Should not take that many reservations if they cannot keep relatively on schedule. Possibly better on a weeknight but personally would not try again- we are pretty easygoing but getting ignored for an extended time when you have a reservation is obviously frustrating. They almost need to have a door person to keep people from crowding the walkways and directing traffic- hard to get through the place. It’s totally fine to communicate if everything is running behind but that didn’t happen. Also, super loud acoustically- hard to hear my friend and we were only a party of 2. The whole experience stressed me out overall (Coming from a former bartender who is pretty forgiving when shit...
Read moreI genuinely can say I love 11Tigers as a complete experience. Located in lower Manhattan if there was anyway to make lower Manhattan more exciting and vibrant this is it! As a Japanese inspired resturant-speakeasy that transitions you into their ambiance from the moment you enter their doors and walk to their second level establishment you are in an experience. The restaurant has almost just launched in August and has done so as an ode to the year of the tiger which is this year of 2022 - hence the name. The interior is comfortable, refined, moody and from your first cocktail each dish is eye catching experience with the taste to back up the beautiful presentations! I have tried just about every cocktail on their menu and I can say even if you have a alcohol preference (gin over vodka, or tequila over all) the balance that is crafted across the menu, you can put your trust in just about every drink. The most distinguishing factor will be light or dark liquor. Finally, before making this too long, the plates are JUST as good as the cocktails. Traditionally I know you mix and match small plates and pair them with a cocktail, I would say that is ideal here. Although you can get full size plates here as well(the ramen is great). However, the stone grilled ribeye was excellent and appear on my table almost in its on cloud of smoke and was a beautiful presentation! Definitely great for a date night if you are looking to impress, or even a social night out where you want something a little elevated but nowhere near obnoxious, because the staff is SUPER friendly...
Read moreThis place does not disappoint. From fired up drinks to smoke filled food and great ambiance, this is a must go to place. The food is amazing. Great presentation. The menu is extensive and it’ll be hard to choose from all their amazingly well designed plates and fun drinks. The only downside is the bar. It appears as if there isn’t a lot of drink options. And the bar looks as though it could use a makeover. But the rest of the place looks great. Pretty roomy. Beautiful windows towards the back. Low lighting spacious. At this Japanese and Thai venue, I found the Karaage is a good started before the main course. Very delicious. I had 2 of the ‘Top 5 Entrees’. So far …The Tom Yum Ramen was by far my favorite from everything I ate here. If you love steak, The Crying Tiger Steak is a must have. Another dish I had is The Golden Uni Sashimi. This was exquisite. The waiter blows smoke all over this dish which sits on a hot stone. Great for pics and videos. Must eat fast though as it does get cold really quick. The drinks were amazing. The waiter blow torches the Bad Kitty On Fire drink right on your table. I can’t remember the name of the other drink I ordered. But I’ll post the picture here. It looks reddish and looks like there’s a tigers eyeball in it. It’s a mix of tequila, passion fruit… black salted rim. Looks incredible and taste super great. This place also has some tiger masks if customers want to wear and take pictures with them. The service was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely come back to try everything else...
