Another Visit to a.kitchen+bar During Philadelphia Restaurant Week 🥩

🌟 a.kitchen+bar Dinner during Restaurant Week was $60 per person. The overall experience was much better than last time, and the dishes really hit the spot! 🧀 The cheese balls (p1) were a complimentary appetizer, and they were super fragrant! 🧀 🍄 CRISPY OYSTER MUSHROOMS (p2) - $20 I had these last October, and they were my favorite! They're not included in the Restaurant Week menu, so you have to order them separately. The flavor is more on the Chinese side, like salt-and-pepper mushrooms. 🍄 🍞 CHICKEN LIVER TOAST (p3) First time trying chicken liver pâté toast, and it was surprisingly good! The pâté is smooth with a slight sweetness and no liver-y aftertaste. I loved it! 🍖 🐟 BLUEFIN TUNA (p4) I've had tuna crudo at many places, but this one with sweet potato puree was the most memorable and delicious! 🐟 🐠 STEELHEAD TROUT (p5) It was good, but I've had it too many times and felt a bit meh this time. I didn't like the green beans inside. 🐟 🦆 DUCK CONFIT (p6) I've never had a bad duck dish at a Western restaurant, and this one was no exception. If you love duck, this is a no-brainer! 🦆 🥯 HAZELNUT PARIS BREST (p7) I came for this dessert during Restaurant Week, and it seemed a bit sweeter than last time. If you like cream puffs, give this a try—it's got a rich hazelnut aroma! 🍪 🥂 We mentioned it was our anniversary when we made the reservation, and the staff surprised us with two non-alcoholic drinks (p8).
