Antwerp – The Diamond Capital 💎

Antwerp is such a fun city to explore! ✨ 📍 Antwerpen is a port city in northwest Belgium, nestled along the Scheldt River. If you’re coming from Brussels Central Station, just hop on a train, and you’ll arrive at Antwerpen Central in just 50 minutes! 🚄 For travelers under 26, there’s a youth ticket for a round trip at only €15 (so budget-friendly!). You can also book via the SNCB app (Belgium’s national rail service is super youth-friendly—discounts everywhere!). 🚄 Antwerpen-Centraal The moment I stepped off the train—WOW! 😍 This is truly Europe’s most beautiful train station! Built in 1905, it’s been standing for over a century and still looks absolutely stunning. 🍽️ Antwerp’s Chinatown My Chinese stomach was craving hometown flavors 🥹. For lunch, we chose [Feng Wei Xuan], an authentic Hong Kong-style restaurant—so delicious! 👨‍🍳 The owner is from Hong Kong, and we ordered: BBQ pork & roasted duck combo 🍖 Chicken stir-fried noodles 🍜 Shrimp rice rolls 🦐 Everything was so good—I’m still dreaming about it! 😭 And super affordable too—under €40 for two people! ⛪ Grand Place In the afternoon, we explored Antwerp’s Grand Place, where you’ll find the Brabo Fountain, Cathedral of Our Lady, and the City Hall. The 16th-century Baroque architecture is breathtaking, and the sunset glow on the cathedral? Pure magic. ✨ 🏰 Het Steen This medieval castle sits right by the Scheldt River, just a 10-minute walk from the Grand Place. The castle itself is small, and entry is free (but we got there too late—it was closed! 😂 So we just snapped some pics outside). 🛒✨ 🧥👜 Vintage Shopping Spree! 1️⃣ Think Twice (Belgian vintage chain) I already went crazy shopping at their Brussels location—super stylish & affordable! 🛍️ And guess what? From Sept 23 – Oct 1, they’re running a mega sale—everything €3–€6! Today (Sept 28) was €3 for ALL ITEMS, so I rushed in… but it was packed! Still, I scored a super cute & edgy blazer for just €3—total win! 🙌 2️⃣ Melting Pot Kilo (Vintage by weight!) This place sells clothes by the kilo—€18 per kg! 🏷️ They’ve got a huge variety (fall, summer, winter styles), but it’s a bit more chaotic than other vintage shops. I grabbed a long scarf and a sweater—Belgium’s weather is dropping fast ❄️, so I’ll need these for sure! 🌇 Heading Home, Full & Happy! What a perfect day in Antwerp! 💖 #Belgium #Europe #TravelEurope #StudyInBelgium #Antwerp #AntwerpTravel #Brussels #VintageShopping
