Antwerp – The Diamond City

📍 Antwerp is located in northwestern Belgium, a port city along the Scheldt River. If you’re coming from Brussels Central Station, just hop on a train, and you’ll arrive at Antwerpen Central in 50 minutes. 🚄 Pro tip: If you’re under 26, you can get a youth ticket for just €15 round trip! (You can also book via the SNCB app—super handy for train travel across Belgium!) 🚄 Antwerpen-Centraal The moment you step off the train, you’ll be stunned—this is literally one of the most beautiful train stations in Europe! 🏛️ Built in 1905, it’s been dazzling travelers for over a century with its grand architecture. 🍽️ Chinatown – Antwerp Craving some homestyle Chinese food? 🥢 We had lunch at "Feng Wei Xuan" (Flavor House)—a legit Hong Kong-style restaurant run by a super-friendly uncle from HK. We ordered BBQ pork & roast duck combo, chicken chow mein, and shrimp rice rolls… SO GOOD. 😭 And the best part? Only €40 for two people! ⛪ Grote Markt (Grand Place) In the afternoon, we wandered around the Grand Place, where you’ll find the Brabo Fountain, Cathedral of Our Lady, and City Hall. The 16th-century Baroque architecture is breathtaking, especially at sunset when the golden light hits the cathedral. 🌇 🏰 Het Steen This medieval castle sits right by the Scheldt River, just a 10-minute walk from the Grand Place. The castle itself is small and free to enter (though we got there too late—oops! 😅—so we just admired it from outside). 🧥👜 Vintage Shopping Spree! 1️⃣ Think Twice – A Belgian vintage chain (we also shopped at their Brussels store!). From Sept 23–Oct 1, they’re running a crazy sale: €3–€6 for everything! 🎉 Today (Sept 28) was €3 day, so we grabbed a super cute & stylish blazer for just €3! 🥳 (Though it was packed—worth it!) 2️⃣ Melting Pot Kilo – This place sells clothes by weight (€18/kg)! 🛍️ You’ll find cozy sweaters, scarves, and winter gear (perfect since Belgium’s weather is getting chilly ❄️). It’s a bit more chaotic than other vintage shops, but great for budget finds! 🌇 Heading Back, Full & Happy!
