Aranysarkany Vendeglo
No wonder this local Hungarian old restaurant has a 4.8 rating on Google! 🌟 It’s truly a hidden gem that lives up to all the hype. Restaurant name: Aranysarkany Vendeglo Address: Szentendre, Alkotmany u.1/a, Szentendre H-2000, Hungary The place is tiny, like a cozy little nook, so booking ahead is a must if you’re heading there during peak lunch hours. But we rolled in around 2 pm, and boom – walked right in and scored a table without any hassle! 🎉 Lucky us! Let’s talk about the beef bone marrow first – it’s life-changing! 🥩💦 The bone is stuffed to the brim with rich, creamy marrow that’s so fragrant, it practically melts in your mouth. When you scoop it out, it’s like liquid gold, oozing with savory goodness. And get this – it’s only 5 euros a serving! Total steal for such perfection. Then there’s the catfish with pan-fried bamboo shoots – absolute flavor explosion! 🐟 The fish is so tender, it flakes apart with a fork, and it’s cooked to perfection, soaking up all the delicious seasonings. To top it off, there’s a sprinkle of fish roe for a salty pop and fresh raspberries that add a bright, fruity twist. No greasiness here – just a unique, mouthwatering combo that keeps you coming back for more. 🍓 The crispy goose breast? Mind-blowing! 🦢😋 You’d think crispy skin would mean dry meat, but nope – this stuff is juicy AF. Each bite is a crunch from the crispy exterior followed by tender, flavorful flesh that’s packed with succulent juices. It’s like a party in your mouth! And the local famous beef soup? It’s like a Hungarian cousin to our beloved beef and tomato soup, but with its own special flair. 🥣👍 It’s hearty, comforting, and full of authentic flavor – not a hint of greasiness, just pure deliciousness that warms you right up. We ordered all four dishes and left stuffed to the brim – and the total was only 60 euros! Such a great deal for the quality and quantity. 💰😊 Two days in Budapest was more than enough to soak up all the city has to offer – we hit all the highlights and then some. So today, we hopped on a train for a quick 30-minute ride north to the famous "Shandandan" town – Szentendre! 🚂 Szentendre is this charming little spot along the Danube River, where time seems to slow down. 🏞️ It’s super laid-back and leisurely, perfect for a relaxed afternoon stroll. You can easily cover the whole town in half a day, wandering through its cute streets and taking in the river views. Oh, and fun fact – it’s where Jolin Tsai filmed parts of her MV "Madrid no Siyi" (Madrid is ! 🎬 How cool is that? It adds this extra little sprinkle of magic to the whole vibe. #Szentendre
