Are cafes this competitive now? Brunch is better than dessert!

As a seasoned #CoffeeLover, I stumbled upon a cute-looking cafe while taking photos in Brussels. It had a 4.6⭐️ rating on the map, so I went in with high expectations. Later, I found out they were award-winning bakers. We started with an oat latte and a pot of hand-brewed coffee, and they also kindly offered us a cup of the daily espresso ☕️ along with a card explaining the coffee. The latte was smooth, not too bitter or milky, with a fine milk froth. The hand-brewed coffee had a balanced taste, not too acidic or bitter. However, the daily coffee was extremely acidic – too much for this acid-averse person to handle✋. It was intense and had a complex mix of flavors, but kudos to them for offering a taste. We tried two desserts; the cinnamon roll, which was supposed to be cinnamon-flavored, had a surprising lemon taste. It was odd to me, but not bad😅. The cannelé, however, was delicious👍, worth a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating. After 30 minutes inside, I noticed most people were ordering their savory dishes, with few opting for sweets. And the presentation of the dishes was so elegant and beautiful✨. I felt compelled to try one. I chose the Cheese Toastie for €15.5 It’s a bit pricey, but the combination of kimchi, cheese, and crispy toast🍞 is truly delicious. It’s a good choice if you want to treat yourself that day. The cafe seems to be a local favorite, with mostly locals frequenting it. If you want to savor coffee and savory dishes, this is an excellent choice. ☕️ MOK COFFEE 🕒 Weekdays 8-6, Weekends 10-6 💰 Price range: €1-10pp💶 #Cafe #Brunch #Breakfast #CafeCheckIn #BelgiumTravel #BrusselsFoodExploration #FoodExploration #WorthVisitingCafe
