🌵 Arizona Trip – Tucson

This afternoon we visited the San Xavier del Bac Mission ⛪️ – it was already closed when we arrived, but the exterior was still beautiful 😊. Then we headed to Trail Dust Town, a mini Wild West-themed village. It wasn’t too crowded – worth a quick stop if you have time! 🤠 Tucson was our final stop in AZ. Its name comes from a Native American word meaning “spring at the foot of the black mountain.” 🏔️💧 Located 174 km southeast of Phoenix, and just 97 km from the U.S.-Mexico border, Tucson welcomed us with warmth after the snow in Flagstaff! ☀️❄️ After that, we drove an hour to Mt. Lemmon ⛰️ to catch the sunset. The view from the top was gorgeous, and the evening glow was stunning 🌄! There are many trails on the mountain, but we didn’t have time to hike this time. Definitely planning to come back – it feels like the most rewarding mountain to climb near Tucson. We didn’t make it to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum or the Pima Air & Space Museum – maybe next time! 👋 #Arizona #Tucson #Travel #SunsetLovers
