Arthur’s Seat | Just Go Climb It!

Who understands! This is the steepest and most primitive mountain path I’ve ever climbed, it’s like rock climbing, and at the very top, there’s no path at all, just a pile of stones! ⛰️ But luckily, it’s not too steep; with a bit of hand-and-foot action, you can still make it to the top. The whole process is heart-pounding and thrilling. There were several times I wanted to give up, but it was my husband holding my hand that kept me going, and it even strengthened our bond. What an amazing climbing experience! Once you’re up there, you can overlook all of Scotland! And with the summer time, it doesn’t get completely dark here in Edinburgh until around 8:30 PM! Definitely worth the trip, not to be missed! 🌟 Why should you definitely come? ✅ 360° Panoramic views: Edinburgh Castle, Calton Hill, and the Firth of Forth all in sight, the pink sky at sunset is breathtakingly beautiful! ✅ Beginner-friendly hike: 30-60 minutes to the summit, a mix of paved paths and wild trails, just wear your sneakers and go! ✅ Mythical legend buff: The “throne” of King Arthur in Celtic mythology, full of medieval knight story vibes ⚔️~ 🚶♀️ Lazy Person’s Route Guide 🔹 Easy route (20 minutes to the top): Start from the east entrance of Holyrood Park → follow the paved path straight to the summit, the slope is gentle and super energy-saving! 🔹 Adventure route (1 hour): Around the volcanic crater lake → through the wildflower hillside → climb “Lion’s Rock” using hands and feet, the experience is 💯! ⚠️ Tips from Blood and Tears Experience ❗️ The wind is so strong it makes you question life! Wear a windbreaker and tie up your hair, and don’t wear a skirt (don’t ask me how I know this 😭) ❗️ You can still go on a cloudy day! The misty ambiance is like “Wuthering Heights”, but make sure to wear non-slip shoes! 🚌 Transportation Guide 📍 Navigation: Holyrood Park 🚌 Bus: Take routes 35/36 to “Scottish Parliament” and walk 5 minutes to the entrance 🚗 By car: There’s a free car park outside the park, it’s recommended to arrive early during peak season! #EdinburghTravel #UKFreelanceTravel #ArthursSeat #OffTheBeatenPath #HikingGuide #TravelPhotographyTips #Edinburgh
