๐ Asakusa Temple Kaminarimon ๐ธ
๐บ๐ฟ๐Kaminarimon: On the left is the statue of the Wind God, and on the right is the Thunder God. ๐บ๐ฟ๐The official name is "Furaijin Gate," but it is commonly known as "Kaminarimon." ๐บ๐ฟ๐ It was destroyed in the first year of the Keio era (1865) and was reconstructed with reinforced concrete about a century later in 1960 (Showa 35). ๐บ๐ฟ๐Hลzลmon Gate: Flanking the gate are statues of Nio (Vajra warriors), and it was formerly called "Niomon." ๐บ๐ฟ๐After its reconstruction in the Showa era, it was renamed Hลzลmon. ๐บ๐ฟ๐The name originates from the cultural property collection stored in the upper level of the gate. #AsakusaTemple #Kaminarimon #JapaneseCulturalHeritage ๐ผ๐ฎ๏ธ
