Asheville, NC Food Guide 🍽️✨
Took a spring break trip to visit the Biltmore, but honestly — more than the grand estate, I fell in love with Asheville itself ❤️: a quiet little city full of charm and good food! After comparing tons of recommendations, I picked these spots — and they did not disappoint. Sharing my top picks: 1. Nine Mile 🏝️ (Caribbean Restaurant) They serve everyone a complimentary starter salad and garlic bread 🥖 — chewy, fragrant, and seriously addictive! Our server — a super spirited grandpa — recommended Island in the Sea and Raggy Road. Both were creamy and delicious 🥥🍤, the first one richer, the second with a light coconut flavor. Great value for money! 💫 2. Tupelo Honey 🍯 (Classic Southern Brunch) Their Classic Fried Chicken and Waffles is a must-try 🧇🍗 — the waffle is soft and buttery. Heads up: Burgers come with a side, but brunch mains don’t — even though our server insisted they did 😤… We got charged extra for sides we didn’t really want. 3. Curate 🇪🇸 (Spanish Tapas) Super popular — we reserved a day ahead! The food was good but overpriced 💸. The mushrooms ($17) were just okay, and the squid ink pasta required some… aggressive plate-scraping 🦑🍝. 4. Old Europe Pastries 🍰 (French Bakery) The French Cream Cake was melt-in-your-mouth amazing 🤤👌 The hazelnut Napoleon was a bit too sweet — better enjoyed slowly with tea 🍵. We devoured it like Ferrero Rocher 😂 The blueberry cake was also nice — generally, their mousse cakes are a safe (and not tooth-achingly sweet) bet! #Asheville #NCFood #AshevilleEats #FoodieDiary
