🌟 Asheville Food Guide 🌟
During spring break, I visited Biltmore, but compared to the ornamental estate, I preferred the tranquil and lively city of Asheville. After checking out some recommendations and comparing options, I picked several restaurants that turned out to be very satisfying. Sharing here~ Nine Mile – Caribbean Restaurant 🍴 They serve a complimentary salad and garlic bread for each person. The bread is chewy—not mind-blowing at first bite, but it grows on you. Our server was a spirited grandpa who recommended Island in the Sea and Raggy Road. Both dishes are creamy—the former is richer, while the latter has a hint of coconut. Great value for money! 💯 Tupelo Honey – Classic Southern Brunch 🧇 The Classic Fried Chicken and Waffles is a must-order. The waffle is soft and full of milky flavor. Note: Burgers come with a side, but brunch mains do NOT. The server insisted sides were included with the brunch main… but we got charged extra for two sides. 🙄 Curate – Spanish Cuisine 🥘 Highly recommended everywhere. Made a reservation one day in advance just to be safe. Food was good, but not the best value. The mushrooms ($17) were just okay, and the squid ink pasta required some aggressive plate-scraping. Old Europe Pastries – French Bakery 🍰 The French Creamy pastry melts in your mouth—definitely worth a try. The hazelnut Napoleon was a bit too sweet. Might be better for slow, mindful tasting… but we devoured it in big bites like swallowing Ferrero Rocher whole. 😂 The blueberry cake was also pretty good. I’d guess most mousse cakes here are safe picks (at least they’re not tooth-achingly sweet like typical American desserts). #RestaurantRecommendations #AshevilleEats #NCFood #BiltmoreEstate
