At the End of the Food Hunt in Berlin, Germany

Seems to be a local chain of Italian restaurants; later, I saw one in Munich too. It’s quite popular in the evenings on weekdays. Thanks to the Italians for saving this food desert. · After visiting the zoo and feeling hungry, I gave up looking for German food and chose this place nearby. The restaurant is spacious and airy, with a relaxed atmosphere. The service is slow, but you can enjoy the street view and the sunset through the large floor-to-ceiling windows. · Germany will keep resetting your expectations for portion sizes. We ordered two appetizers and a pasta, and we were quite full. The food was decent, nothing special but not bad either. · I made up for not having the classic Italian aperitif Aperol Spritz in Italy by having it in Berlin. It’s not alcoholic, the fruit flavor balances the bitterness at the end, and it’s not too sweet. The color is like sunset in a glass; I quite like it. · 🥗【Insalata Avocado Gamberetti】 The fried shrimp 🍤 is fresh and crispy, and the homemade sauce is light and savory, just enough to coat each leaf. The downside is that the avocado is too raw, hard to chew. · 🥗【Caprese Burrata】 With high-quality ingredients, it’s generally delicious. The huge, oozing cheese bun was a delight for this cheese lover. All the tomatoes I’ve had in Europe taste more like tomatoes than those back home! · 🥗【Orecchiette di Manzo al Limone】 The beef tenderloin is tender and juicy when cooked, with a thickness comparable to small steaks. The ear-shaped pasta also has a satisfying chew. The sauce blends cheese and lemon, looks well-reduced, and isn’t greasy, but it’s not very flavorful. · #ItalianCuisine #WesternFood #AtmosphericRestaurant #Berlin #BerlinCuisine #EuropeanTravel #GermanyTravel #burrata #pasta #aperitif
