🍜 Austin's Best Ramen Spot: Ramen512

This is my most frequently visited restaurant in Austin. After my first bowl, I felt like I was back on a rainy Tokyo street! 🌧️🏮 I couldn’t believe Austin had such an authentic Japanese ramen shop. The owner, originally from finance, followed his passion and trained under famed New York ramen master Keizo Shimamoto (the creator of the viral ramen burger!). Despite now running Ramen512, he still regularly travels to Japan to study at top ramen shops and even imported a noodle machine from Japan — so their noodles have that perfect, springy chew! 🍜💪 Must-try dishes: Shoyu Ramen: Clear, sweet broth with a delicate soy sauce umami that doesn’t overpower. Tonkotsu Ramen: Rich, creamy pork bone broth that’s deeply satisfying. The owner also creates monthly limited-time specials! This week it’s Shrimp Tsukemen (dipping ramen) — a thick, shrimp-paste-infused broth served with noodles, soft-boiled egg, chashu, bamboo shoots, and more. After finishing the noodles, you can ask for free clear broth to dilute the remaining sauce and enjoy it as a soup! 🦐❤️ Other past specials include refreshing Thai Green Curry Ramen for summer and warming Shrimp Wonton Ramen for colder days. Highly, highly recommended! 📍 Ramen512 #RamenHeaven #USFoodAdventures #TexasEats #AustinFood #Austin
