Sharing an honest review of some new menu items at a popular Chinese spot — all based on personal taste! 🤖| Shan China Bistro and Bar 📍 1700 Ranch Rd 620 N #110, Austin, TX 78734 1️⃣ New: Mouthwatering Chicken First off—huge portion! 👍 Seriously bigger than most appetizer servings around. The chicken had great texture, and the chili oil was generous. Flavor-wise, it’s spicy and numbing (hello, Sichuan vibes!), but I personally prefer Bamboo House’s version which has a sweeter, more complex soy blend. Still very tasty though! 🌶️🍗 2️⃣ Hunan Stir-Fried Pork Stir-fried pork with fermented black beans and green peppers 🌿🐖. I’ve tried their twice-cooked pork before, and I still prefer that—it’s more deeply flavored. But this stir-fry is still solid and well-cooked! 3️⃣ Tea-Smoked Duck A must-order every time 🦆😍. Tender inside, crispy outside, with that distinct smoky tea aroma. So good!
