Austin | Speechless! Found Authentic Japanese Breakfast in Town 🍱

Can't believe I experienced such an authentic Japanese breakfast right here in Austin! Uroko recently launched a limited brunch menu, available only on 10/26 (the day I visited) and 12/7. Requires advance booking and prepayment (details in image 5). Dining time is limited to 45 minutes, but if you want to stay longer, book the last slot of the day - we enjoyed several pots of tea afterward without being rushed! 🍳 Tamagoyaki Lover's Dream Come True As a serious tamagoyaki enthusiast, I've struggled to find proper full-sized delicious tamagoyaki in the US. When I saw it on the menu, I immediately booked! Though it's omakase style (no Γ  la carte), the full set menu (shown in image 2) exceeded expectations. Miso soup, rice, and tea are refillable. Here's my review of the fixed menu: 🌟 Star Dishes: β€’ Center Stage Tamagoyaki βœ…βœ… The chef said there are three different toppings that vary by session. We got the salmon roe version - generous portion, incredible texture and flavor! Probably the best among the three options. The best I've ever had was crab-stuffed, but finding this in Austin moved me to tears 😭 β€’ Bottom Right Sashimi βœ…βœ… Though small in portion, it features premium toro and other exquisite cuts - all the精华essence! β€’ Top Right Grilled Fish βœ… Solid choice with good fish selection. Well executed. β€’ Bottom Left Rice βœ… Perfectly cooked Japanese rice. β€’ Fish Miso Soup (Bottom Middle) The soup itself was delicious, but the fish scales weren't thoroughly cleaned πŸ˜… I had to skip the skin and picked out scales several times. β€’ Top Left Tea βœ… Surprisingly delicious - don't know what kind but subtly sweet and refreshing! This review might be subjective, but when something is this rare in Austin, and considering my love for tamagoyaki, I think it's absolutely worth trying! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Restaurant: Uroko Address: 1023 Springdale Rd Bldg 1 Suite B, Austin, TX 78721 #LocalGem #AustinEats #JapaneseBreakfast #Tamagoyaki #JapaneseCuisine #Brunch #Sashimi #AustinFoodie #LimitedEdition
