Austin Dining Diary | Memorable Restaurant Explorations 🥘
Sharing some recent Austin dining spots that left a strong impression on me! Brunch 🍳 Aba One of the hardest-to-book restaurants in downtown Austin. The ambiance is an absolute 10/10! While the food may not fully live up to the atmosphere, it’s still very much worth trying. Highly recommend the short rib hummus with naan! The Well Another restaurant with a great vibe—the interior is super cozy, perfect for catching up with friends. The food is decent; I ordered a medium steak, which felt a bit overcooked. Next time, I’ll try medium-rare! Launderette A unique spot transformed from a laundromat. It has high Google ratings, but the food fell slightly short of my expectations. Maybe I just didn’t order the right dishes! Dinner 🍢 KANE A Japanese restaurant highly recommended on Xiaohongshu. They feature premium ingredients—it was my first time trying monkfish liver and dry-aged salmon in Austin. The plating is exquisite, and the ambiance is authentically Japanese. Space Cowboy A space-themed bar 🪐 where cocktails arrive on a "spaceship." The menu is creative, and the presentation is stunning, but the flavors of the dishes felt a bit too unconventional for my taste. Peached Tortillas An Asian Fusion spot on Burnet Rd. I was pleasantly surprised by their Laksa, but the other dishes were just okay. Worth a visit if you’re into Asian Fusion! #AustinTX #FoodShare #WeekendExplorations
