Austin Hula Hut
I embarked on a 40-hour "special forces" tour of Austin in Texas, where the temperature soared to 110°F (43°C). Since I left work late and drove there, it was already dark when I arrived at the restaurant. If I had arrived in the evening, the experience would have been even better (I found a daytime photo online). 🌮 Kawaikini Stuffed Avocado For the appetizer, I ordered the fried avocado stuffed with chicken and cheese. It was incredibly delicious! The flavors were perfectly blended, living up to its award-winning reputation. 🌮 Thai B.B.Q. Fajitas We chose a mix of chicken and beef, but I recommend going all beef. It was incredibly flavorful, and my boyfriend was still savoring it days later. The dish is quite similar to Chinese-style bell pepper and beef stir-fry, which is a hit with Chinese palates. 🌮 Huli Huli Luau Platter This platter is huge, featuring a large piece of roasted pork rib, which I thought was the best part of the dish. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken tacos. It’s a mix of various Mexican items, and if you’re unsure what to order, this platter is a great choice and definitely worth it. 🍰The restaurant has a fine mist system that sprays cool water to lower the temperature. Even in the scorching heat, sitting outdoors doesn’t feel hot. The diners’ faces were rosy and happy, and while the environment was noisy, the view of the water was calming. The food, ambiance, and atmosphere were all fantastic. Next time, I’ll definitely visit in the evening to catch the sunset. I also recommend Mozart’s Coffee Roasters by the river. #FoodExploration #AustinFoodie #DailyFood
