Austin in Two Days: The Perfect Itinerary 💛

Just got back from an amazing trip across Texas! First up—here’s your ultimate two-day, one-night guide to Austin. Follow this and thank me later, girls! 👯‍♀️ 📍 Must-Visit Spots: ✨ Mount Bonnell ⛰️ Only 5–10 mins to the top! Sweeping views of the Colorado River + luxury mansions 🏡. Head left for an epic shot of the Austin skyline! 📸 ✨ Texas State Capitol 🏛️ Free entry | Open 7 AM–8 PM Learn about Texas history and politics. Located along the same route as UT Austin and Blanton Museum—easy to hit all three! ✅ ✨ Blanton Museum of Art 🎨 We skipped the paid galleries but visited the rainbow chapel 🌈—small but magical light effects! ✨ UT Austin Campus 🎓 Perfect for a relaxing stroll. Don’t miss the main building’s lawn and fountain! ⛲️ ✨ The Oasis on Lake Travis 🌄 ~30 min drive from downtown. Come 30 mins before sunset for both daylight and golden hour views! Though many shops are closed now, the restaurants still offer killer views. We ate at The Oasis (Mexican)—service was slow but the vibe was worth it. Pro tip: Check out the rooftop restaurant upstairs too! 🍽️ Food & Drinks: 🔥 Terry Black's Barbecue 🍖 A famous BBQ joint—be prepared to wait! The brisket was a bit dry for me, but the beef rib, pork rib, and sausage were decent. Sides like green beans and corn stood out 🌽. Go for the experience! 🍵 Ling Wu 🍲 A modern Chinese tea restaurant—elegant décor and strong tea (finally! 😭). A bit pricey, but the quality and ambiance justified it. 🎵 Continental Club 🎸 Live music vibes! $10 cover charge. Intimate space with a energetic crowd—perfect for dancing and enjoying the band! 💃🎶 #Austin #TexasTravel #WeekendGetaway #FoodieAdventure #TravelGuide 🇺🇸✨
